Employers
The family employs the nanny and as such has to meet the normal requirements of an employer including:
- Providing a "contract of employment' for the nanny.
- Paying salary. Tax and National Insurance (NI) for the nanny.
- Paying of the employers National Insurance (NI).
- Providing payslips for the nanny.
- Ensuring Inland Revenue receive NI and tax in a timely manner.
- Providing annual tax administration through
P11, P45/P46 and P60.
- Keeping records of payments.
